Former NBA champion Glen “Big Baby” Davis has officially been released from federal prison. ​According to The Athletic, Davis was released after serving 17 months of a 40-month sentence following his conviction for his role in a scheme to defraud the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan. ​Upon his release, the former Celtics big man shared a video on social media with a characteristic “I’m back, baby” message. While his time behind bars is over, Davis will now transition to a Long Beach Residential Reentry Management Office, aka a New York halfway house, until July 9, 2026. His stay will include “financial management classes and drug treatment.” He will also serve three years of supervised release.
